Gabi Ashkenazi, a top candidate on the new Blue and White Party list, was surprised by his comrades former Yesh Atid head Yair Lapid, former chief of staff Benny Gantz and former defense minister Moshe Ya’alon, who presented him with a birthday cake for his  65th birthday on Monday.

Ashkenazi is the third-youngest among the top four members of the party. 

Gantz is 69, Ya'alon is 68 and Lapid is 55.
