A senior Health Ministry official said that several neighborhoods throughout the country in which the novel coronavirus is rampant may also undergo total lockdowns, much like the ultra-Orthodox city of Bnei Brak did on Friday, according to N12.
The official explained, according to N12, that "Elad, Modi'in-Elit, Migdal Haemek and a number of neighborhoods in Jerusalem" will also be closed down.
Health Ministry officials are expected to meet on Saturday evening to deliberate regarding recommendations on such closures in neighborhoods with particularly high percentages of coronavirus cases.
Police and IDF officials flocked to Bnei Brak on Friday morning to enforce new lockdown procedures with roadblocks at the entrances and exits. People are being allowed to exit from the city only under special or emergency circumstances.
