Israeli woman killed, 3 others hurt in Mexico traffic accident

Embassy in Mexico City is assisting in treating injured, transporting body of young woman back to Israel for burial.

A young Israeli woman was killed, and three other Israelis injured in a traffic accident in Mexico late Sunday evening.

The accident took place on a road between the resort towns of Playa del Carmen and Cancun.

The families have been notified, and asked that no personal details be released.

A Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the embassy in Mexico City is assisting in treating the injured and transporting the body back to Israel for burial.
