Jeremy Piven, the actor best known for his role as fast-talking agent Ari Gold in HBO's Entourage, is set to visit - and perform in - Israel next month.

Piven will perform stand-up on January 12 at the Jerusalem Theater, on January 13 at Beit Hachayal in Tel Aviv and January 14 at Bereleh in Lahavot Haviva. Piven, who grew up in a Jewish family, is best known for his many acting roles. But over the past year, the 53-year-old has begun performing stand-up around the United States. Currently, his tour dates in Israel are the only shows outside the US listed on his website.

"Shalom my brothers and sisters in Israel - it is your boy Jeremy Piven," the actor says in a video announcing the shows. "I get to return to the motherland on January 12, to perform at the Jerusalem Theater, and on the 13th in Tel Aviv. So please come and join me - I will not scream Lloyd... yes I will," joked Piven, referencing the role of his Entourage co-star.

In 2016, Piven visited Israel with a group of basketball players on a trip organized by Israeli NBA star Omri Casspi. During his trip he also made time to film a series of humorous commercials for the Israeli company BuyMe.

Over the past year, eight separate women have accused Piven of sexual harassment and sexual assault in allegations dating back to the 1980s. Piven has denied all of the claims, and in an interview with Good Day New York earlier this year said that "There have been some misconceptions about me,” and that standup is "a chance for people to come and experience me for an hour."

Last year, CBS canceled Piven's show Wisdom of the Crowd (based on an Israeli series from Keshet) after the allegations surfaced.
