Days before she was slated to arrive, Kim Kardashian West canceled her trip to Israel.
On Saturday, Carolina Lemke, the Israelis sunglasses brand which has partnered with Kardashian West, announced that the reality star and supermodel’s visit this week was postponed to a future, unknown date.
Several Hebrew media outlets speculated that Kardashian West pulled out of the trip after the rocket fire on Tel Aviv on Thursday night. Carolina Lemke did not give a reason for the trip’s cancellation.
Kardashian West’s visit to Israel this week was intended to mark the kickoff of her partnership with Carolina Lemke, the eyeware brand partly owned by Bar Refaeli. The two supermodels already shot a joint ad campaign in Los Angeles, which has begun to grace billboards across Israel.
As part of the partnership between Kardashian West and Carolina Lemke, the reality star designed her own line of sunglasses, which are already available for sale in Israel and for pre-sale in the United States.
Last year, when announcing the partnership, Carolina Lemke said Kardashian West had signed a deal to be the face of the brand – alongside Refaeli – for at least two years. The deal also granted Kardashian West 10% of the shares of any company set up in the United States by the brand and 5% of the proceeds from the line of sunglasses that she designed.
Kardashian last visited Israel in 2015, with her husband Kanye West and their daughter, North.
