Fireworks were due to fly on Wednesday evening as the US Embassy in Tel Aviv was hosting a celebratory event to mark America's upcoming Independence Day.

The Fourth of July festivities being held at the ambassador's residence in Herzliya, come a few days before the holiday as it lands this year on Shabbat.
