Lucy Aharish attacked critics of Rotem Sela in the firestorm surrounding the comments made recently by Sela concerning the Nation-State Law.
Aharish attacked the right-wing block, saying that they "demand from me to get up every morning and say thank you. Specifically to say thanks that they give me the right to open my mouth and live here."
The left-wing bloc was included in Aharish's attack because "they don't like that I criticize the society that I grew up in. Like an author from the left told me once, she explained to me in an informed way face to face why I and people like me are damaging to the left."
In the interview, Aharish thanked the "true leader of this country," President Reuven Rivlin, because he "saw me as a person, completely equal, with no need to apologize or say thank you. Because he is like the silent majority, who are afraid to speak because they're frightened."
Aharish concluded the interview by emphasizing that "If we are dealing with Rotem Sela, I will conclude with a song that almost brought us victory. Here is my home, here I was born. I have no other place in the world."
