Mifalot Education and Society Enterprises recently held its annual fundraising event, Red Evening 2019.
The evening marked 20 years since the foundation of the association, which works through sports to build a society and community based on understanding, partnership, tolerance, recognition of the other and acceptance of the other.
The association also works for the individual to realize his or her potential. The organization’s principle is simple: the child gets play time, with a coach, a uniform and a team – and in return, he or she invests in doing homework, attending enrichment classes and participating in social activities. So far, the organization has helped about half a million children.

The main draw of the evening was an exhibition of leading artists’ works in cooperation with Sotheby’s, courtesy of Discount Bank.
At the end of the evening, actor and comedian Moni Moshonov gave a stand-up performance and appeared as a volunteer, performing nostalgic segments for the audience’s enjoyment.
By the fundraiser’s close, nearly NIS 800,000 was raised, of which 25% will be donated to artists who contributed their works to the fundraiser. In addition, the attendees donated scholarships.
