Prime Minister Netanyahu in Rio de Janeiro: We are brothers

Saying that Israelis and Brazilian are "brothers who share one heart," Netanyahu addressed Jewish community members in Rio de Janeiro.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that when he and his wife Sara took a walk on the Copacabana Beach "there were 10,000 people, only one of them shouted "Free Palestine"."
Speaking with with members of the Rio de Janeiro Jewish community as part of his state visit to Brazil, Netanyahu said that "thousands of people welcomed us with warmth."
He added that "Israel is a nation of innovation" and that "he who innovates, gets the future."
Lauding the achievements of Israeli agriculture and water management, Netanyahu said that Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro told him that Brazilians and Israelis are like "brothers who share one heart."
He also addressed the Jewish people present and said that he'll be "happy to see all of you in Jerusalem...I will welcome you there in person, just call ahead!" he joked.
