A 14-year-old Palestinian teenager died from his wounds after being fired at by an IDF sniper during riots at the border, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on Friday evening.
The Ministry stated that five other Palestinians died as a result of injuries suffered during the riots.
Twenty thousand Palestinians rioted in five locations near the security fence on the border of the Gaza strip on Friday, the IDF spokesperson stated.
The rioters set fire to tires, threw stones at IDF troops, as well as Molotov cocktails and explosive devices. An IAF drone struck in the north of the Gaza strip in response to hand grenades being thrown at IDF troops.
Several Palestinians crossed the security fence, only to flee back to the Gaza strip.
The Friday protests, which the Palestinian call the "March of Return," has been a weekly occurrence since U.S. President Donald Trump announced the move of the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
