It took a playoff round, but Michal Ronen and Judy Reefe were able to come away with the victory in the Ga’ash Golf Club Annual Ladies Day tournament on June 14.
The pair broke free after being tied at 39 Stableford points with the team of Adele Katz and Hadasa Alon after the first 18 holes.
Liron Naor and Ronit Kedar led after nine, but they were unable to remain in the top three and did not place in the 36-woman field. Linda Streit and Rene Leoni had the best front-nine score in the competition, sponsored by Lilit cosmetics.
Norma Kaufman and Lulu Press won the closest-to-the-pin prize, and Ruth Oren hit the longest drive.
This event came just weeks after the May Monthly Medal at the golf club.
With identical winning scores of 71, Hugo Wainstein took the A Division, Dani Levin won the B Division and Dave Haskell and Ilan Mendelsohn tied in the Super Seniors before Haskell won on the count-back.
In related Ga’ash news, Steve Will was the first winner of the new monthly accumulating individual Stableford scores over May competition.
