Career highlight: Fifth place in 100m freestyle at European Championships in 2016

Outlook for Rio: Murez could compete in as many as five events in Rio, although will likely drop at least one or even two depending on her progress. She moved to Israel from the US in 2014 and has since become the country’s leading female freestyler. Murez swam for Stanford University, as well as representing the United States at the 2013 World University Games, and she has only improved since moving to her new home.
