Tel Aviv University President Prof. Joseph Klafter accepted The Jerusalem Post's award for the university's work spearheading groundbreaking research in a variety of fields at the paper's conference on Sunday.

"TAU performs some 300 research and development projects with the defense ministry and other security agencies," he said, discussing one of the many fields where the university is leading the way when it comes to conducting game-changing research.

"In order for us to continue, we must have a free-flowing environment for big, bold change-making ideas that will help keep Israel safe, prosperous and strong," he added.
