Jerusalem police are preparing to seal off roadways due to the winter storm that has pounded the area, authorities announced on Wednesday.

Police are recommending that those seeking to enter the capital do so before 10:00 a.m. The only roadway that will enable motorists to leave the city is Route 443.

The authorities announced on Wednesday that all schools in Jerusalem and the surrounding suburbs will be closed due to the storm.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem announced on Wednesday that it has canceled instruction today and tomorrow due to the weather.

The capital is bracing for snowfall in the early afternoon hours on Wednesday.
