Several of the street names around Ben-Gurion Boulevard in Tel Aviv have been renamed this just for this week  in honor of 14 area residents, according to a report first published by the Hebrew daily Israel Hayom.

The streets are named for volunteers, winners of the Mayor's Award for Social Involvement.
Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai said that these activists are doing small acts that have a large impact on the local community.

“It is our duty to celebrate civil, community and social support,” the mayor told Israel Hayom.
