The night shift employees at the Ben-Gurion Airport were surprised to find a mule arriving to the entrance of terminal 1 on Tuesday night.

The mule, who might have wanted to follow the steps of many other Israelis and take a vacation from work, was found to be unharmed and in very good condition.

Approximately aged 4 or 5, the mule was led by the employees to a secluded area where they fed him, gave him water and alerted officials of the Agriculture Ministry for assistance.

The mule did not wear any identifying marks or a chip, thus they could not find the owners or how the mule reached the terminal could not be determined.

The ministry officials led the mule to a sheltered area and after an extensive medical examination and treatment, the mule would be offered for adoption.
