2 Israelis suspected of trying to smuggle 6 tons of hashish into UK

Three Israelis - Hazi Sarbaro (57), Mordechai Hirash (67), and Moshe Kidar (81) - were arrested on suspicion of attempting to smuggle six tons of hashish into the UK, police said Thursday. The drugs, with an estimated street value of $15 million, were confiscated on a boat at Southampton in southern England, after an investigation lasting 18 months. The operation was carried out by Belgian and British authorities in cooperation with Tel Aviv police. 11 other suspedts were arrested in connection with the case, According to the allegations, the drugs were smuggled by the group from Morocco.
