Three people were lightly injured on Sunday afternoon when a civilian helicopter crashed  near the Latrun junction after fueling up atop a truck.

The helicopter crashed from a distance of ten meters during take-off. The reason for the crash was apparently a technical fault.

The casualties were evacuated by Magen David Adom to Tel Hashomer's Sheba Medical Center. They were fully conscious when the paramedics arrived.

The sound of the crash was heard at the Latrun gas station. Police cars, ambulances and firefighters initially had trouble making it to the crash site.
