A 45-year-old man was killed in a traffic accident Tuesday evening on Road 90 near the Dead Sea hotel complex. The man was driving his car when he collided with a truck. The truck driver was moderately injured. An intensive care Magen David Adom ambulance that arrived on the scene pronounced the man dead and evacuated the truck driver to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba. The man suffered multiple systemic injuries and died immediately on impact. The truck driver was conscious when paramedics arrived. From the beginning of 2009, 39 people were killed on Israel's roads.
