Seven IDF soldiers were killed and eleven were wounded in clashes with Hizbullah throughout southern Lebanon on Saturday, it was released in the evening.
The army was extending its military operation before the UN-approved cease-fire went into effect, sending forces to take over areas between the Israeli border and the Litani River.
Some 70 soldiers were hospitalized in Israel throughout the day.
