Aharanovitch to allocate NIS 100m to recruit 300 new police officers

Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharanovitch will allocate NIS 100 million to recruit about 300 new police officers to the force, ministry officials said last week. The focus of the new recruitment drive will be on officers from minority backgrounds, in a move designed to decrease tensions between police and minorities in sensitive areas.
