Arabs to prosecute police in int'l court for 13 killed in 2000 clashes

The Israeli Arab Monitoring Committee will take the case of the 2000 clashes with Israel Police, which left 13 Arabs and one Jew dead, to the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The committee made the decision following the decision of Attorney General Menahem Mazuz to suspend the investigation of police who opened fire on demonstrators. The deliberation was attended by a number of Arab MKs, as well as mayors from the Arab sector and representatives of citizens' rights groups.
