Aviva Schalit: Olmert responsible for returning Gilad home

"The progress of the leaders of the country reminds us, fearfully, of the tragedy of Ron Arad and his family." Aviva Schalit, mother of kidnapped soldier Gilad, said in a letter calling for her son's release. "Our government isn't intelligent enough to put pressure on Hamas and the Gaza Strip to bring about my son's release," the letter went on. "The prime minister is still responsible for getting Gilad home. Ehud Olmert was prime minister on the day Gilad was captured, Olmert was his commander in chief and as such he's the one who needs to complete the task and return him home."
