Beit Shemesh man suspected of raping mentally handicapped girl

Police on Sunday arrested a 30-year-old Beit Shemesh resident on suspicion of raping a 16-year-old, mentally handicapped girl three times in the last six months. According to the allegations, on one of the occasions, the man traveled to a boarding school in central Israel where the girl was staying, picked her up and raped her in his car. On another occasion, the man allegedly committed the offense in the presence of her younger sister. The 30-year-old was placed under house arrest and was banned form contacting the alleged victim. He denies the charges.
