Disabled demonstrators blocking Jerusalem's entrance

Disabled citizens were demonstrating near the newly built string bridge at the entrance to Jerusalem, blocking traffic on all directions. The demonstrators, in wheelchairs and on crutches, were protesting the government's lack of treatment of disabled citizens in monetary benefits and services. Since 2001, welfare payments of disabled persons were not updated despite the rise in the price of products and services. Demonstrators told The Jerusalem Post that a tent had been erected in front of the Welfare Ministry building, but to no avail.
