Explosions heard in Ashdod caused by chemical fire in factory

Explosions heard in Ashdod earlier Wednesday were the result of a massive fire which broke out at a chemical manufacturing factory in the city.
The explosions were apparently caused by the chemicals themselves that were being stored at the site.
Firefighters have not been able to enter the factory to extinguish the flames.
