Finance minister's adviser: We don't need such a big, expensive army

Prof. Omer Moav, the head of the finance minister's advisory council, spoke of his support for the proposed budget cuts on Sunday and said that "Israel doesn't need such a large and expensive army like the IDF."
Speaking to Army Radio, Moav said that IDF obligatory service should be shortened and that the army should stop paying out stipends to soldiers injured in road accidents.
