Former minister Gonen Segev was released from jail on Monday morning after serving two-thirds of his five-year sentence for attempting to smuggle 32,000 Ecstasy pills into Israel. The Israel Prisons Service decided last week to reduce Segev's jail time by a third due to good behavior.
