A 58-year-old haredi man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of having had an intimate relationship with a 14-year-old girl who had become newly religious, Mevaseret Zion police said on Sunday. The man was scheduled to be brought for a remand extension hearing Sunday afternoon at the Mevaseret Zion Magistrate's Court. The young girl revealed to police investigators that she met the man on the Internet and that he had served as her rabbi thereafter. The girl further said that the relationship developed into an intimate one and that the man held several such relationships with other girls her age.
