Disgraced former finance minister Avraham Hirchson, who is standing trial for alleged embezzlement, on Tuesday lashed out at the Israeli press for what he termed a "defamation campaign" being conducted against him.
"I sit here in court every and testify," Hirchson said on the stand. "I answer every single question and make no reference to my medical state. The defamation campaign that is being conducted against me in the papers is unprecedented; it's hard for me, really hard."
