'Hizbullah arrests haven't affected Hamas-Egypt relations'

Recent tension in the Middle East following Egypt's arresting of several alleged Hizbullah members has not affected relations between Hamas and Cairo, according to a statement released Sunday. Lebanon-based spokesman Osama Hamdan said "Hamas has never been an element which threatens Egyptian national security." "Hamas is a resistance movement which aims to defeat the occupation and liberate Palestine," the statement went on, adding that Egypt shared the same goal.
