The Home Front Command will begin distributing protection kits to Israeli civilians in seven months, OC Home Front Command Maj.-Gen. Yair Golan announced Thursday, predicting that the operation would take up to two years. Golan made the announcement at a press conference concerning the start of the information campaign for next month's nationwide home front drill. Golan added that the campaign would focus on reaching protected areas after a warning siren is sounded and that maps would be sent to every home with the time it takes to get to the nearest fortified room.
