IDF advocate-general orders probe into Palestinian's checkpoint miscarriage

Military Advocate-General Brig.-Gen. Avihai Mandelblitt on Friday ordered the Military Police to launch an investigation into an incident last week in which a pregnant Palestinian on her way to hospital was forced to wait at Hawara checkpoint near Nablus, a delay that apparently led to the loss of her baby.
The commander of the checkpoint was tried and sentenced to 14 days incarceration, but due to Mandelblitt's order, the punishment has been canceled.
