IDF chief: Hamas responsible for reality in South, we'll deal with them

The current rocket barrage on Israelis in the western Negev is an unacceptable reality, IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen Gabi Ashkenazi said during an interview with Army Radio on Monday morning. "It's impossible to accept a situation in which Gaza-belt residents are getting wounded. Hamas is responsible for this, and we will deal with them," he said. "The IDF is prepared for every possible operation that could be required in the Gaza Strip… I'll present different options to the political echelons, and we'll do what we're ordered to do," he went on.
