A Palestinian youth died on Wednesday afternoon after he was hit by an IDF patrol jeep in the village of Yabad near Jenin. The incident, which the IDF said was an accident, occurred during a riot involving stone hurling at a vehicle of the National water company, Mekorot, which was escorted by IDF soldiers. The military said that the driver was driving in reverse and failed to see the 17-year-old standing behind the vehicle. Palestinians claim the jeep ran over the boy intentionally. The boy, who was critically injured, was evacuated to Hospital in Jenin, but succumbed to his wounds shortly thereafter. The IDF has launched an investigation into the incident.
