IDF raids village on false tip that Israeli had been kidnapped

Massive IDF troops entered the village of Ein Abous near Nablus Wednesday overnight, following a report by two settlers from the area who claimed a friend of theirs was kidnapped by Palestinians. The settlers were found tied up in a car and upon being released said a third friend of theirs has been kidnapped and was being held in the village. Following the settlers' account, troops searched the village house-to-house. IDF sources said some of the forces were taken from other operations they were in the middle of; the settlers then admitted they had made up the story. The military said it would file a complaint with police against the two, who had caused the army to waste vast resources and compromise operations. Initial assessments suggest the whole incident was simply a hoax played on the military.
