Massive rise in Druze pass rates, Jewish pass rates up by 2%.

Figures released by the Education Ministry on Thursday showed an increase of pupils throughout all of the country's school sectors who had passed their bagrut matriculation exams over the recent school year, culminating in an overall increase of 1.7 percent.Jewish, Arab, Negev Bedouin and Druze pupils all had higher passing rates for the exam, bringing the national average from 44.4% to 46.1%, with increases in all individual sectors as well. The pass rate for Druze students rose by 8.5%, rising from 39.5% to 48%.RELATED:Cops crack bagrut leak caseThe rate for the Jewish sector (without haredim included) rose 2.1% from 59.7% to 61.8%. With haredim included, the increase dropped to 1.7%, going from 50.5% to 52.2%.The entire non-Jewish sector also showed an increase, with its overall passing rate rising 2.8% from 32.2 to 35%.Among Negev Bedouin there was an increase of 2.8% (from 26.6% to 29.4%) and a 2% rise (from 32.2% to 35%) among Arab pupils as whole.
