Knesset speaker Dalia Itzik is expected to approve a ruling by Knesset legal authorities that Rabbi Mazor Bayana could enter the Knesset, replacing suspended MK Shlomo Benizri.
Some Knesset legal authorities questioned whether Bayana could enter the Knesset, due to the fact as a neighborhood rabbi who is considered a civil servant he was not allowed to run for the Knesset.
But Knesset legal authorities found a precedent for allowing Bayana to enter the Knesset on Tuesday and Itzik is expected to approve the ruling on Wednesday when she returns from a trip to the United States.
