Livni: Whoever wants Shas in the Education Ministry shouldn't vote for me

Foreign Minister and Kadima leader Tzipi Livni on Sunday criticized statements made by Shas' spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, who called secular teachers jackasses in his weekly lecture. Livni said that she had heard what Shas had to say about education, and was aware that the party wants to get the Education Ministry. "I know how it would be in their hands and I refuse. Some will give it to them, I will not. Whoever wants to see Shas in charge of the Ministry of Education should not vote for me," said Livni.
