Ma'ariv on Thursday night condemned former president Moshe Katsav for accusing reporter Shalom Yerushalmi of writing biased and false articles regarding his investigation.
"It is regretful that instead of referring to the charges against him, the former president chose to attack the press," the newspaper said in a statement.
The paper stressed that it will continue to cover the Katsav story without bias and noted that contrary to what the former president told reporters, Yerushalmi was never fired because of the criticism he expressed in articles regarding Katsav.
