Man charged with attempted murder and repeated rape of young woman

A 47-year-old man from Bnei Brak was indicted at Tel Aviv's District Court on Wednesday for allegedly attempting to murder a young woman, as well as for repeatedly raping and assaulting her over the course of several years.
The man, Amnon Levi, was arrested several months ago on suspicion of attempted murder after he hit the 22-year-old woman on the head with a brick and tried to strangle her, sending her into a coma. When she awoke four months later, the woman testified that Levi had been sexually abusing, raping, assaulting and imprisoning her since she was 15.
Levi denies the allegations, and claims that he was being used by the girl.
