Man detained in right-wing protest at Zion Square

A man was arrested at a right-wing demonstration at Zion Square in Jerusalem on Thursday on suspicion of disrupting public order. He was wrapped in an American flag, carrying a picture of visiting US President Bush in one hand and a plastic pistol in the other. Hundreds of people gathered at the square to protest the against the possible division of Jerusalem. Rabbi Michael Wolpe, recently investigated by the police on suspicions of incitement, asked the crowd, "What do you call a man who hands out guns to terrorists?", to which the demonstrators chanted, "Traitor". The rally was also attended by Israeli singer Ariel Zilber.
