Man jailed for imprisoning girlfriend in his home for 3 years, abusing her

The Nazareth District Court on Monday sentenced a Beit She'an man to three years in jail for imprisoning his girlfriend in his home for three years and abusing her. The court also ordered the man, 44-year-old Meir Turgeman, to pay the woman NIS 15,000 in compensation. Just three months after committing the offense, Turgeman was released from jail, where he had served time for violently abusing another woman.
