Miliband urges Israel not to approve Jordan Valley settlement

British Foreign Secretary David Miliband on Friday urged the Israeli government not to give final approval to the planned settlement in the West Bank's Jordan Valley.
"As the (British) prime minister spelled out clearly during his recent visit to the region, settlement activity in the occupied Palestinian Territories represents a real obstacle to peace," Miliband said in a statement.
