New Knesset speaker: 1st thing I'll do is attend Umm el-Fahm Council meeting

Prime Minister-designate Binyamin Netanyahu appointed Likud MK Reuven Rivlin as Knesset speaker on Monday evening. Rivlin said the first thing he would do in his new role would be to visit the northern Arab town of Umm el-Fahm to attend a meeting of its local council.
