Police arrest man who tried to smuggle 5.6 kg of heroine from Jordan

Police and Customs officials arrested on Wednesday a man who was caught trying to smuggle 5.6 kg of heroine into Israel from Jordan. The man was detained after police searched his car as he tried to cross the border. The drugs were found in a secret compartment hidden in the trunk. By late afternoon, police had released some of the suspect's relatives who had also been arrested. The suspect, however, remained in detention.
