A Rahat man was indicted at the Beersheba District Court on Monday on suspicion of attempting to rape a 19-year-old girl in Sderot. According to the charge sheet, the man allegedly overtook the girl after she began her morning jog, lay in wait in one at the buildings in the city and tried to rape her there when she passed. The young girl cried out for help and the man fled when residents of the building arrived. The suspect sped away in a car, but the girl wrote down the license plate number and reported the incident to police.
