A prisoner exchange for the release of kidnapped soldier Gilad Schalit has progressed in the past few days, Palestinian sources told Asharq Alawsat.
On Monday, the London-based paper reported that the Egyptian mediators were working hard to formulate a plan as soon as possible while keeping the details of the negotiations as discreet as possible.
According to the Palestinian sources, Israel was expected to release approximately 1,400 prisoners, including those with "with blood on their hands."
