Israeli cows produce more milk than cows in any other Western nation, according to a report released by the Central Bureau of Statistics for Shavuot. The CBS said that Israeli cows produce an average of 11,000 liters of milk per year, twice the amount given by dairy cows in the EU. In addition, the report said that Israeli households spent an average of NIS 49 a month on dairy products, and that the price of pasteurized milk rose 11.5 percent last year.
