Report: Olmert, Barak called to emergency meeting with Jordanian king

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Ehud Barak were called to an emergency meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II in Amman several days ago, Yedioth Ahronot reported on Thursday morning.
According to the report, Abdullah asked the Israeli leaders to avoid a military operation in the Gaza Strip as the move would cause damage to his rule.
Olmert and Barak clarified that if the firing of rockets from Gaza into the western Negev continued, Israel would not longer be able to remain quiet.
